Where in the World of Music is Carmen Sandiego?
Gary Sheldon, Music Director - A delightful family concert in which Gary Sheldon leads your orchestra, with the help of Inspector Clue-Not, to locate and return the musical treasures Carmen Sandiego just stole (Carnegie Hall, Liberty Bell, etc.). Using repertoire the orchestra has available at the time, the audience is led on a musical journey exploring the different styles and types of music in an informative and engaging manner. The program can be tailored to full-scale concert length, or shorter versions, and can incorporate soloists or community personages. Since beginning the program in the mid-1990's Maestro Sheldon has taken Carmen Sandiego to numerous orchestras across the country, including Detroit, Utah and Spokane.
