Kenneth Kiesler, conductor
A prominent and versatile conductor, Mr. Kiesler was named music director of the New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra in 2002 and continues as Professor of Conducting and Director of University Orchestras at the University of Michigan. He has guest conducted numerous symphonies (National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, the Chicago Symphony at Orchestra Hall, the Utah, Detroit, New Jersey, Florida, Indianapolis, Memphis, and San Diego symphonies; the orchestras of Albany, Virginia, Omaha, Fresno, Long Beach, Long Island and Portland, the Texas Chamber Orchestra, the Ohio Chamber Orchestra) and appeared at several festivals (Meadowbrook, Skaneateles, Sewanee, Breckenridge, and Aspen) as well. His own annual conductors retreat in Medomak, Maine was featured in the Atlantic Monthly (April 2002). Mr. Kiesler is also Conductor Laureate of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and Illinois Chamber Orchestra.
